Curls

This is my attempt at curling, what I did was I used medium size curling tong, wrapped the hair around the tong and hold for around 10 seconds and let go, you should get a nice head of curls at the end.

With my attempt as I was curling the next piece of hair I also pinned the curl to the head so it wouldn't drop out straight away, so you'd have a even head of curls.

Up right curls:

For the up right curls i sectioned the hair starting from the bottom working my way to the top, with each section you need to curl away from the face and tucking the end of the hair in so it doesn't cause the hair to kink, once the section of hair is curled and unpinned you'll need to roll it up and pin down, once its all curled you'll need to get the model to gently shake their head to get a natural curl effect, or you could brush the hair gently to get a soft curl look.

Brickwork curls:

For the brick work curls i sectioned the hair starting from the top working my way to the bottom, with each section you need to curl so their going down words and tucking the end of the hair in so it doesn't cause the hair to kink, once the section of hair is curled you'll need to roll it up and pin down, so by the end you should have pinned curls that look like a brick wall, once its all curled and unpinned you'll need to get the model to gently shake their head to get a natural curl effect, or you could brush the hair gently to get a soft curl look.

Side way's curls:

For the side way's curls i sectioned the hair starting from the bottom working my way to the top, with each section you need to curl so their going down words and tucking the end of the hair in so it doesn't cause the hair to kink, once the section of hair is curled and unpinned you'll need to roll it up and pin down, once its all curled you'll need to get the model to gently shake their head to get a natural curl effect, or you could brush the hair gently to get a soft curl look.

Simple Plait

this is my attempt of a simple plait.

To get this plait i had to section the hair into three and wrap one piece of hair over the over.

French plaits (Technical)

French Plait

Here is my first and second attempt of a French plait.

to get a French plait you have to section the hair into three pieces, plait it once and once again, then you need to take a piece of hair and add it the the middle section of the plait and repeat the process.

Three Elizabethan Hair Ideas

Three Elizabethan Hair Ideas

These are three Elizabethan hair idea's I've come up with.

Design 1: This design is made up from two Dutch plaits, and a plaited bun, I chose to do Dutch plaits because they give a more bold neat look, I used red ribbon to thread through the plaits to give a criss cross effect, as it came to the end I wrapped it around the bun and tied it up into a bow.

Design 2: This design is made up of eight crimped structured buns four on each side starting from big on the top going down to small, at the front of the head i used pin crimps and pinned them down against the front buns three on one side and for on the other.

Design 3: This design is made up from a whole head waves and at the front of the head is made from wiggle plaits to create a tiara effect.
