Over all i thought the assessment went really well i managed to pick up on Amy's design quite quickly she told me how she wanted it, we had a talk about the plait and decided it would be more effective to use Dutch plaits instead of normal plaits which was good for me as i feel comfortable doing them, i had to practice intertwining the two together to make one plait as it was very fiddly, i really enjoyed creating Amy's design, when I had question I felt comfortable to ask her and done the best i can.

I thought the communication was really good between me and Amy we got on really well, when she first received my hair design she wasn't too sure on how i wanted the wiggle plait buts i showed her how I wanted them done and she managed to pick it up very well, if she had any questions she all ways asked and i was happy to help, when it came to creating the waves in my hair they kept dropping out as my hair doesn't like to hold waves or curls, so she done the best she can by hair spraying them witch helped a little bit to hold them in for the photos.

The most time consuming part for me was crimping her hair as its most of her hair that had to be done and for Amy I think it would of been creating the wiggle plait tiara as she had to get them even and to stand up right.

Overall she created me design perfectly, very happy with the outcome well done.

frizz and crimp (Technical)

Frizz and Crimp

This is my attempt of creating frizz, I did this by creating a figure of eight around a v grip, I then used straighteners to get the zigzag affect, then you take out the grip and brush through and you should get a frizz look.

My attempt of frizz came out looking like an afro as I used small sections. 

with the crimp I used heated crimper's to crimp each section of the head, i held them down for at least 10 seconds depending on the hair type.

To create this type of crimp/frizz you need to get small sections and wrap each one round a v shaped pin in a figure of eight pin the end with a curby grip, use the straighteners to straighten over the whole thing then remove the hair from the pin once its cooled down and it'll give a defined crimped wave, if you brush it out it'll give you a tightly crimped look.

To get this crimped effect, i used heated crimping iron, you can keep it un brushed or you can brush it out to give a fluffy frizzy effect.

This my attempt of Elizabethan hair , i used crimper's, curling tong's, props, Bobbie pins and a pintail comb.

First i sectioned the hair, then i crimped just over half the hair then i done a French plait just over half way up the hair and attached the prop to the plait used the section on the top of the head to cover the prop, i then curled the front of the hair and create pin curls, i left some strans out to go over the propped hair.

The back of the hair is crimped and left down.

Hair Props/Padding

This is my first attempt of using props and padding to do this i sectioned the hair into 3 going across the head one for the French plait to hold the prop in place and one to go over the the prop and the other will be left over hair to style.

With one section of the hair you will need to have one to two fingers width of hair and French plait it, when its plaited you will need to use Bobbie pins to secure in down and then use more Bobbie pins to secure the prop to the plait.

When the padding/prop is in place you will then need the front section of the hair to cover it and pin it down using Bobbie pins.

Wave/wiggle plaits

Wiggle/wave plaits 

This is my second attempt of a wiggle/wave plait.
I did this by sectioning the hair into small sections and plait as normal, then hold one strand and push the other two strands up to get this wiggle/wave plait.
This image also shows my attempt of back comb, to do this i section the hair bit by bit, I used a pintail comb to comb down the hair, when its all back combed lightly comb over the top to smooth it out.
